So the hacking is starting to come to an end and I can finally start light schooling! I will be so glad not to have to go on long hacks everyday. The typical English weather made it ever so enjoyable, the amount of times I would set out on a hack in lovely sunshine, then 10 minutes from home and the heavens would open and you may as well have swam the last half a mile. When it has stayed dry and even sunny some times I have enjoyed the excellent hacking we have, great view over the River Severn and peaceful hacks in the woods with no traffic to worry about. Apart from the odd child in a push chair that Harry found rather spooky, I didn't think the child was wearing a mask!

Once I've finished riding and swimming its time for all the horses to go and play in the mud! I then get to dry out a little bit before going to get them in hoping they aren't too muddy but on more than a few occasions a certain someone has a habit for rolling right in the muddy gate way. I thought I put a red rug on him but turns out it was a brown one! Head to hoof in thick wet mud!
Now that I get to start schooling the season seems ever closer and with more horses to ride I can't wait to get back out there competing.
Let the schooling begin!
